Evaluation of neutrophyl/lymphocyte ratio, platelet/lymphocyte ratio and mean platelet volume according to the disease activity index in patients of ankylosing spondylitis

Objective: To determine the relationship between neutrophil/lymphocyte ratio (NLR), platelet/ lymphocyte (PLR) and mean platelet volume (MPV) with acute phase reactants in patients ankylosing spondylitis (AS) to show usability of these parameters activation periods follow-up disease.
 Material Method: The demographic data (age, gender) Bath Ankylosing Spondylitis Disease Activity Index (BASDAI) score 70 who had been followed regularly for at least 1 year whose diagnosis AS was definite were recorded. control group consists people do not have any disease. Among laboratory parameters, neutrophil, platelet, count, C-reactive protein(CRP), erythrocyte sedimentation rate(ESR), NLR, PLR MPV values retrospectively checked recorded.
 Results: In our study, a statistically significant difference found MPV, NLR values. addition, be significantly different groups low disease activity high patient group. There weak negative correlation value BASDAI, ESR CRP no CRP. CRP.
 Conclusion: As result are seen as simple, easy inexpensive markers that can used patients.
